Nails Inc is a brand best known for its nail bars situated in luxury department stores across the UK. As well as its range of high quality polishes available in all the colours you could ever want or need. And as of summer 2020, they have added another string to their bow in the form of Nails Inc Plant Power. Their kindest and purest nail polish formulation yet.

What is Plant Power?
Nails Inc Plant Power is an innovative new formulation of nail polish made up of 73% plant-based ingredients. Free from 21 of the main ingredients that formulate many polishes. This includes being free from formaldehyde, acetone and parabens. As well as being completely vegan, cruelty free and Halal friendly which as a result makes it their kindest formula yet. As well as this the bottle also boasts a 100% FSC ash wooden cap making it both recyclable and sustainable.
The Plant Power range is made up of 12 shades, from the softest baby pink of Everyday Self Care to the deep, rich, plum of Flex My Complex. They all promise to be as long wearing as Nails Inc other ranges, with just as interesting names!
My review and swatches
I tested 2 of the new Plant Power shades – Mani Mediation, a pale pink and Spiritual Gangster, a deep navy blue. The instructions tell you to apply a base coat and then 2 coats of the shade, before applying a topcoat. Also recommended is the Plant Power topcoat, however using a standard clear topcoat seems to work just as well.
Spiritual Gangster

This shade is glorious, probably one of my favourite ever nail shades, a deep luxurious blue that looks expensive and worked well with my very pale skin. The formula of this shade meant that 1 coat provided a lovely even coverage as its fairly thick. After applying the second coat and a topcoat there was no budging this polish. It was remarkably hard wearing, I managed 4 days without a single chip – which for me is possibly a record. I absolutely loved this shade.
Mani Mediation

The Mani Meditation shade is extremely wearable and neutral, a fairly typical pale baby pink. In terms of its texture its also more sheer than the blue, definitely needing a second coat for full coverage. Again however with a topcoat applied it also lasted several days before starting to chip.
Overall I really like the new Nails Inc Plant Power polishes, and I definitely found the shades I tested to be beautiful and long lasting. The range being so kind to the environment is another huge plus point for me, and will definitely have me adding other shades to my collection. The lovely cerulean blue of Soul Surfing has my name written all over it!
