Herbivore Botanicals is a relatively new brand on my radar and to be honest, I am not sure how I missed out on them for so long! Every single product they make is visually stunning – don’t believe me? Check out the full range on Cult Beauty!
As well as being pretty they are also consistently amazing products, delivering time and again. Their Exfoliating Glow Facial – Prism is probably one of the most beautiful skincare products you can come across, and the radiance boost it gives is just outstanding. As you can probably tell I’m a huge fan! And their Pink Cloud Creamy Jelly Cleanser has just been added to my list of must-haves.
The Product

As with all Herbivore products its incredibly pretty, both in and out of the box. The gorgeous heavy glass bottle encloses a baby pink, shimmery gel cleanser that would look perfect on any vanity.
Ingredients
Pink Cloud is completely natural and cruelty-free, and contains no synthetic ingredients at all – this includes no dyes or fragrances. Its main ingredients are:
Tremella Mushroom – Which is a superfood that holds up to 500 times its weight in water, making it a hydration and humectant powerhouse. Tremella Mushroom is clinically proven to work more effectively than Hyaluronic Acid as it is so deeply plumping and hydrating.
Rose Hydrosol – To hydrate, soothe, and reduce the appearance of redness in skin while providing the pretty light rose scent.
Squalane – A vegan non-comedogenic oil that helps to remove makeup, while locking in moisture for lasting hydration.
It also contains coconut fruit juice, aloe leaf juice, Rose Damascas Flower Water and a few other completely natural ingredients.
My Thoughts

The cleanser its self is light and non-sticky, with a really delicate rose fragrance that is not overpowering.
When applied to a dry face and then rinsed, as the directions state for removing makeup, it is lightly foaming. With the cool gel feeling quite soothing and therapeutic when first applied. Pink Clough is specifically designed for dry skin, and claims to leaves skin cleansed and comfortable, without stripping moisture.
And this is where my only slight negative comes in – I do find it a little bit drying. I use most regularly balm or oil cleansers, as I do have dry skin and find those lock in the moisture and really do leave my skin feeling amazing. And I normally steer well clear of anything foaming, but I was convinced by Herbivore claims that Pink Cloud is completely non-stripping. So I’m slightly disappointed to find that my skin is not as comfortable as I might like after using it. That being said, I do have VERY dry skin, and while it is a little bit drying it’s not so much that I would avoid using it, as it is a really effective cleanser. For those without my Sahara dry skin, I think this will feel amazing for you.
Final Thoughts
Herbivore Pink Cloud Creamy Jelly Cleanser is beautiful and feels like a real luxurious treat to use. And although it’s maybe not ideally suited to my skin type, I am happy to keep using it, not for every cleanse, but definitely a few times a week. I just make sure to bring out the big guns afterwards (Hyaluronic Acid, Moisturiser, Sleeping Mask) so that my skin doesn’t suffer from it being a little moisture stripping. And for those with less dry skin, I think it would be a perfect addition to your skincare routine. And let’s face it. You arent going to find a prettier cleanser on the market any time soon!

You can pick up Herbivore Botanicals Pink Cloud Creamy Jelly Cleanser from Cult Beauty for £22.
This is the prettiest cleanser I’ve ever seen, the packaging is gorgeous! I’m sorry to hear that it didn’t work as well as you would have liked. I have oily skin so this might work a little better for me! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and allowing me to discover a new brand!
